Invisalign may be a great option for you if your teeth are spaced apart, crowded or have moved over time.
What is Invisalign?
Straighten your teeth without people around you even realising you’re wearing braces!
More commonly heard of as the “invisible brace”, Invisalign is the most advanced clear aligner system in the World which is barely visible and so discreet that no one can really tell you are wearing it. It is removable, so you can eat and drink what you like, and it allows you to continue to maintain your dental hygiene routine as normal.
How does it work?
Using the latest technological advances, Invisalign uses computer technology to create a series of custom-made aligners based on your dentist’s instructions. Invisalign’s specialised computer software is also used to preview your final result before we even start.
These aligners are usually worn for 1 week, before moving onto the next aligner in the series. The aligners apply a controlled amount of force on your teeth, causing them to gradually move into the desired position.
How long will treatment take?
Invisalign is only working when you wear your aligners, for this reason it is recommended you wear your aligners full time (ideally 20-22 hours daily), taking them out to eat and drink.
Treatment length will vary depending on the starting position of your teeth and the complexity of your case, but you’ll start seeing results in a matter of weeks.
